What kind of photography do you offer?
We specialize in contemporary portraiture, wedding photography, commercial and product photography, and photographic restorations. We offer a broad range of sessions, including but not limited to the following: babies, maternity, families, children, seniors and teens, boudoir, etc.
Do you offer on-location sessions?
Yes! We are happy to travel to your home, to City Park, or to other locations in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes as part of your creation fee. Travel outside of Orleans and Jefferson may require travel fees. Sessions in Jackson Square now require a $50 permit from City Hall. Please plan accordingly if this is something you would like.
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in Mid City on historic Canal Street. Address and directions may be found in the “Studio” section and the “Contact” section.
Do you offer packages?
We do offer some print bundles, wedding packages, and studio session packages. For an overview, please see our “Investment” section or call to book a free consultation.
What is a cake smash?
A cake smash is something we offer 12 month and 24 month babies where we photography them destroying a birthday cake. After the session, we put together a custom collage of your baby’s cake smash. We use Dorothy’s Little Kitchen for most cakes, or your are welcome to bring a cake from your favorite baker.
What exactly do you mean by graphic design?
For individuals, graphic design includes custom flushmount albums, collages, montages, greeting cards, and print projects. For businesses, graphic design includes logos, websites, marketing materials (business cards, brochures, tshirts, etc.), and web/social media maintenance. If you aren’t quite sure where your project falls, give us a call, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
What is Boudoir Photography?
Boudoir photography is a special area of photography for women. It is beautiful and sexy, playing up your curves and features. Boudoir photos make great gifts and wall art. Please call or stop by for more information.
When will I get my prints?
Most full photography orders will be ready in 4 – 8 weeks (holiday times may be longer). We offer rush options when necessary but prefer not to rush as it becomes much more likely that things may be missed or that there may be mistakes. We promise that your order will be worth the wait!
What should I bring to my session?
Definitely be sure to bring basic items such as hair brushes, straighteners, food for newborns, etc. In addition, it is often good to bring a few clothing options so that you can have a choice. You will receive a more extensive list at your consultation upon booking.
May I purchase digital files or a copyright released CD?
We do offer digital files and copyright released CDs as an add-on to packages. Please call 504-483-7079 or schedule a consultation so that we may go over digital pricing with you.
How far in advance should I book my session for holiday cards and gifts?
We advise that you book these sessions as far in advance as possible. We will do our very best to get your cards and gifts ready in time and will give you a heads up if we believe you are working on an impossible timeline.
