For me, photography and graphic design represent my art and my passions. I developed an affinity for art (mostly painting) at Ursuline Academy during my middle and high school years. However, it was during my sophomore year at NYU that I first picked up a camera – and upon developing my first black and white photograph, I knew I was hooked. The darkroom was a sanctuary separated from the blaring noise of the city where I felt able to truly create.
Shortly thereafter, I discovered the world of digital photography and graphic design and became a self-proclaimed addict. I obtained my BFA in Studio Art with a Photography and Graphic Design concentration (and a minor in French) from New York University. My life’s path led me back to New Orleans. My computer has now replaced the darkroom, pencils, and paints, and every day, I am privileged to do a job for which I have a true passion.
When I’m not working, I love cooking, traveling, the SAINTS, Pop Art, making art, and cheesy pop music from the 80’s and 90’s (and not necessarily in that order). I am amazed daily by people – by expressions, by interactions, and by those fleeting moments that make a person him or herself. This is what I strive to show you in my photography and design: the beauty that exists in the ephemeral nature of every day that we’re here. I want to capture your moments exactly as you remember them – 110% Unique and as close to perfect as is gets.
I have an amazing family who has helped me follow this dream, a wonderfully supportive boyfriend, and a great network of friends. I thank God for my talents and for blessing me to use them. Every day brings new challenges and new adventures, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
